Antonio “Tony” Correa was born and raised in Itararé, São Paulo, Brazil. The direction of his life completely changed after a couple offered him the Faith of Jesus Bible studies while he was in a hospital bed. He got baptized soon afterward at age 18.

Following his baptism, Correa became a student colporteur in Brazil while starting his studies in theology at Universidade Adventista de São Paulo, Campus 2. This was the beginning of his ministry journey. In 2007, he was called to the Review and Herald Publishing Association in Hagerstown, Maryland, where he served as a publishing leader for seven years. In 2015, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theology from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas.

Next, Correa served as the Texas Conference Publishing Ministries director. His passion to help students support themselves financially through Adventist education led to the addition of the Youth Rush student canvassing program in Texas. He also participated in two DETERMINED cycling tours to raise funds for Adventist education.

In 2020, Correa began pastoral ministry as the associate pastor at Iglesia Central del Valle, in McAllen, Texas. Then, he accepted a call in October 2023 to serve in the Texas Conference Planned Giving and Trust Services as trust officer for the southern region.

Happily married for seven years, Antonio and his wife, Blanca, are blessed with two children, Ishmael and Jeremy, ages 8 and 6. Correa’s personal interests include cycling, camping, and fishing.

His favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9 NIV, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
