F. Smith Castillo, an ordained minister with 18 years of combined experience in pastoral ministry and Adventist education, now serves as the associate superintendent of Education for the Texas Conference. He has dedicated his life to helping people grow spiritually and personally.

Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City, Castillo felt God’s call on his life while attending the Bronx-Manhattan Seventh-day Adventist school as a child. Throughout his ministry, he has served as a volunteer lay pastor, youth pastor, district pastor, religion teacher, teaching principal, and academy principal.

Castillo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a minor in Biblical Languages, a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, a Master of Arts in Educational Ministry, and a doctorate in Ministry Leadership.

He and his wife, Rosalva, who have been married for 16 years, share a love for ministry, travel, and sports.
