Robin Lopez is the director of Church Planting, Volunteer Lay Pastor, and Church Revitalization for the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Alvarado, Texas. After spending many years in pastoral ministry, within both English and Spanish districts for different conferences, he was delighted to follow the Lord’s call to leadership in one of the leading church-planting conferences within the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.
Born in Cuba to a pastoral family, Lopez spent his teen years dealing with the Castro regime and communism. He was so eager to study and find freedom that he escaped Cuba as soon as possible.
Lopez, who holds a bachelor’s degree in theology and a master’s degree with an emphasis on church planting and evangelism, has been pastoring for more than 26 years. He and his beautiful wife, Michelle, have four children: Michelle, JayLynn, Liz, and Robin Jr. His son Robin Jr. feels called by the Lord to become the ninth pastor in the family.
