Kenn Dixon is the vice president for Communication & Public Relations for the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Alvarado, Texas. Before joining the Texas Conference, Dixon was the director of Integrated Marketing & Public Relations for Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, for nearly three years. Prior to his assignment at Oakwood University, he was the Communications and Media director for the Southwest Region Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Dallas, Texas, for six and a half years. He was also the senior pastor of the Casalita Drive Seventh-day Adventist Church in Garland, Texas, for four of those years. Dixon was also an assistant pastor for youth ministries at City Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dallas, Texas, for two and a half years.

Kenn Dixon was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and served in the United States Marine Corps. He and his wife, Catherine Lassiter Dixon, have three young adult children and two grandchildren.

Dixon started his ministry more than 20 years ago in chaplaincy for the Michigan Conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, before becoming dean of men for Mount Vernon Academy in Ohio. He then became an assistant pastor for youth at the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church in Columbus, Ohio, before heading to New England to serve as chaplain, religion, and Apple technology and media teacher at Greater Boston Academy in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Dixon has also worked as an external producer and video editor for 3ABN (Three Angels Broadcasting Network).

Kenn graduated with a Master’s in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University, a Master’s in Church & Pastoral Development from Oakwood University, and a Bachelor’s in Religion from Washington Adventist University. Kenn is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Strategic Media from Liberty University. He also holds professional accreditations in public relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America and several professional certifications in digital marketing and research from the American Marketing Association (AMA), and he is President-Elect for the Public Relations Society of America Dallas Chapter (PRSA-Dallas).

Dixon loves the Lord and the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He has dedicated his life to connecting communications and ministry to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone who will listen.
