Irais Ortiz is an assistant treasurer for the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Alvarado, Texas. Her focus is on payroll. She has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a master of science degree in Business Planning and Regional Development, and a second master’s degree in Business Administration. She works in the children’s department of her local church and has been involved with the youth ministry programs (Adventurers, Pathfinders and Master Guides) for 27 years. She also has served as a Master Guide coordinator for the Central Area in the Texas Conference. Irais and her husband, Michael, enjoy spending time in nature, walking, playing music and practicing aikido. Her favorite verse of the Bible is Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
