Southwestern Union Education Endowment Fund The offering today is for the Southwestern Union Education Endowment Fund. This fund is used to assist Seventh-day Adventist students in the Southwestern Union with financial aid for educational expenses. The assistance comes in the form of scholarships. Many of our families are challenged to send their children to Seventh-day Adventist Schools due to the rising costs of tuition.  The goal of the fund is to enable these students the opportunity to attend one of our schools and to participate in the mission of Adventist education—Collaborating for learning excellence through faith and service. Last year this fund contributed nearly $189,165 in aid to students in elementary, secondary, and university levels of Seventh-day Adventist education in the Southwestern Union. The foundation for establishing the fund is based on counsel from Ellen G. White in Selected Messages, where she states that “Provisions should be made, means invested; a fund secured to educate men and women of the nations and in our own country . . .” Please prayerfully consider giving an offering today in support of financial aid for students in the Southwestern Union. Este fondo se utiliza para ayudar a los estudiantes Adventistas de la Unión del suroeste con gastos de educación. La ayuda se recibe en forma de becas. Muchas de nuestras familias tienen el desafío de enviar a sus hijos a las Escuelas Adventistas debido a que el costo de la matrícula va en aumento. El objetivo de este fondo es permitir que estos estudiantes tengan la oportunidad de asistir a una de nuestras escuelas y participar en la misión de la educación adventista: colaborando para el aprendizaje de excelencia a través de la fe y el servicio. El año pasado, este fondo contribuyó casi $189,165 para los alumnos de primaria, secundaria y nivel universitario de la educación Adventista de nuestra Unión del suroeste. El fundamento para establecer este fondo se basa en el consejo de Elena G. de White en Mensajes Selectos, donde dice que “hay que hacer provisiones e invertir recursos; hay que establecer un fondo para educar en nuestro país a hombres y mujeres procedentes de otras naciones”… Imploramos que en oración considere dar una ofrenda hoy para contribuir con la ayuda financiera estudiantil de la Unión del suroeste.
