The Great Controversy Mass Distribution – April 2026
The Texas Conference has approximately 150,000 copies of The Great Controversy (90,000 English and 60,000 Spanish) to be shared with communities throughout our mission field. April 2026 is our month for distribution, with our big focus for churches to do this simultaneously all across Texas on Sabbath, April 25, 2026. Below is information to help you with your planning.
1. How do we participate in the project? First, get your church board to approve and fund this project. Second, contact the English Evangelism department with your order of The Great Controversy books. Third, organize your local distribution team and process. Fourth, communicate the project often with your church so everyone is aware and has an opportunity to support it.
2. How much will the The Great Controversy distribution packets cost our church? The full cost of the book packet is $1.25 per packet plus shipping. However, with the Texas Conference’s subsidy, your church will pay only 75 cents per packet, plus shipping.
3. How do we get our The Great Controversy books for distribution? First, have your church decide a faith goal of how many books you want to distribute in your community—1,000, 3,000 or 5,000 or whatever the Lord impresses you to do. Second, contact the English Evangelism department with your order. Once the Evangelism department has all the churches’ orders, we will coordinate with area churches to ship pallets of The Great Controversy books directly to your area for local churches to pick up their order. This will minimize shipping costs.
4. Can individual members order books themselves? We prefer all the books to be ordered by local churches. Individual members may obtain books from their local church for personal use.
5. How will The Great Controversy books be distributed? They will be delivered in an attractive door hanger bag along with a Vibrant Life magazine.
6. Will there be a way for our church to gain Bible study interests from this effort? Yes. Each packet will offer both a Bible study sign-up option and a health solution option, which people can respond to through your local church.
7. What are some ideas for distributing The Great Controversy? There are several ways they can be distributed. You can go door-to-door and drop them off. You can have a booth at a large community event, like a fair, and give them to everyone who attends. You can go to the parking lots of major shopping destinations and give them to people as they return to their cars. You can enlist your Adventurers and Pathfinder clubs to assist in giving them away. And you can have each member in your church commit to giving 10 or 20 copies to their neighbors, friends and coworkers.
