Born and (mostly) raised in Texas, Deborah Gendke is a pastor’s daughter, wife and mother of two who loves working with young people and giving to others. After graduating from Forest Lake Academy (Florida) in 1993, she returned to Texas to attend Southwestern Adventist College (now Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas), where she got reacquainted with and later married her childhood friend, Bo Gendke.
Bo and Deborah have two beautiful adult daughters and one granddaughter: Madilyn, a teacher, Megan, a dental assistant, and Sophia, their pride and joy.
Deborah has been an active member of the Alvarado and Burleson Seventh-day Adventist Churches for over 20 years, working in the children’s division Sabbath Schools and staffing for both the Adventurer and Pathfinder Clubs. She loves to read, travel and do puzzles in her spare time. Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
