Denton First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Pilot Point, Tex., held a revival program titled “Now It Is High Time to Awake Out of Sleep.” Held under the leadership of Carlos Rodriguez on Jan. 27-28, 2023, Denton First church pastor Christopher Hudson, guest speaker and evangelist, shared the main messages.
The two-day program began with a seminar Friday at 7 p.m. and continued Sabbath at 11 a.m., with the final presentation at 5:30 p.m. More than 310 people attended the crusade, including visitors from the surrounding area.
After lunch, a community outreach gave attendees an opportunity to share their faith with those in the city of Pilot Point. Afterward, they were treated to a musical concert. Hudson’s messages provided attendees with a deeper understanding of end-time events, the role and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the importance of living a life dedicated to God. He inspired many to make commitments to follow or renew their relationship with Christ. This weekend event was a true demonstration of the power of the gospel and the impact that a community of believers can have, first in North Texas and then around the world.
The Denton First church plans to host several upcoming events and is already preparing for a follow-up program this summer with Texas Conference English Evangelist Byron Corbett. The fall evangelistic crusade will be presented by Jorge Rico, professor of Religion at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Tex.
Overall, the revival program was a blessing, inspiring attendees to dedicate their lives to God and spread the gospel to the surrounding community. The Denton First church is grateful for the opportunity to host such an impactful event and is looking forward to sharing the love of Christ with others.
