The Texas Conference treasurer is the chief financial officer of the conference, its subsidiaries and owned institutions. This position is responsible for all financial affairs that affect the Texas Conference. Among many duties, the treasurer carries out the financial directives of the constituency as represented by the executive committee; the responsibility is to direct the proper use of God’s holy tithes and our members’ generous offerings judiciously and appropriately. The treasurer is also responsible for preparing the annual budget and presenting financial statements.
Randy Terry was born and raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland (a suburb of Washington D.C.). He graduated from Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University) with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1992. Randy started working in treasury at the Columbia Union Conference. Since then, he has worked in treasury at the Chesapeake Conference, treasury and trust at the Carolina Conference, treasurer of the Southern New England Conference and treasurer of the Upper Columbia Conference. He and his wife, Tamara, have three young adult sons. Avid baseball fans, the family has a goal to visit every major league baseball stadium. They have about eight to go.
