Texas Conference Names Esqueche Associate Director for Communication & Public Relations

The Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Executive Committee voted Andy Esqueche to serve as an associate director for Communication & Public Relations effective June 16, 2022.

Andy Esqueche

Esqueche was previously a district pastor for Corpus Christi Spanish and Alice Spanish Seventh-day Adventist churches and digital evangelist for Texas Conference Hispanic Ministries & Spanish Evangelism. A native Spanish speaker, Esqueche is proficient in Brazilian Portuguese and English languages.

The communication profession is familiar to Esqueche, who worked as the youth and communications director for South Peru Union Mission in Lima, Peru, for five years. Following that, he was the corporate identity and public relations director for Peru Union University in Chosica, Peru, before coming to the United States.

Esqueche began his educational studies in IT, graphic and web design and audio-visual communication before completing his Theology degree at Peru Union University. He also holds certifications in Family Therapy and Disaster Risk Management. He has a master’s degree in Leadership and Ecclesiastical Administration from Peru Union University and is currently studying for his master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry through Andrews University’s School of Graduate Studies extended program.

“Knowing that digital evangelism is so important now, we were excited to have Andy’s skillset assisting us,” Ismael Castillo, Texas Conference vice president for Hispanic Ministries & Spanish Evangelism, shared. “It was especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic, when churches had to close and online options were all we had to share God’s messages.”

“With Andy joining the Texas Conference Communication & Public Relations team, we are now able to offer more resources than before,” Kenn Dixon, Texas Conference vice president for Communication & Public Relations, added. “One example is when we streamed a live event at a church while Andy was in the studio streaming a different event. It’s exciting to see how our media team can expand with Andy’s expertise.”

Please join us in congratulating Andy Esqueche on this new role with the Texas Conference.
