The Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Executive Committee promoted Jannet Diaz to communication intern for Communication & Public Relations effective September 1, 2022.
After earning a degree in communication from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas, in 2015, Diaz accepted a job as a production assistant at KNWA/FOX 24 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While she liked the production aspect of the job, financially it was a challenge, so she returned home and waited for the Lord to lead.
Diaz joined the Texas Conference in 2017. As the administrative assistant and public face of Print Shop, she was part of each project processed through the department, whether taking orders, designing projects, billing or printing materials. When media became a prominent part of the Communication & Public Relations department, the two departments merged, and Diaz was once again involved in media production. Now she is part of the graphic design team as well as the media team, assisting departments with design projects, live streaming events and studio recordings.
“We were excited to learn Jannet had stage manager experience,” Kenn Dixon, Texas Conference vice president for Communication & Public Relations, shared. “She has been an asset to our department, and we are glad she is able to increase her communication experience here in the Texas Conference.”
