Happy New Year!
As we embrace this new year, we are celebrating the start of a new campaign for the Texas Conference camp at Lake Whitney Ranch (LWR). Exciting additions at LWR include four bath and shower houses, a nature center, a ropes course, a saddle barn, a red barn, the Town Hall building and an open-air pavilion, just to name a few. Each building provides more lodging and/or meeting space. The open-air pavilion will seat 5,000 people, perfect for camporees and large gatherings like camp meetings.
The Texas Conference LWR operating committee is ready to start planning for the next phase. That brings us to the new campaign known as $25 in 25.
While completing the year-end mailing, we realized that if every household in the Texas Conference began giving $25 per month in 2025, we would have the funds necessary by the end of the year to begin the next phase in 2026. The next phase includes summer camp cabins that can be used year-round, a new cafeteria and a much-requested swimming pool.
Can you believe that? With just $25 a month per household, we can continue seeing much-needed improvements at LWR, creating “A Light in the heart of Texas”—a place where thousands of people can enjoy God’s creation and learn about their best friend, Jesus. For many, that simply means skipping our favorite drinks or restaurant meals and directing those funds toward Lake Whitney Ranch development.
Want to join us in making this life-changing difference? There are multiple ways to give:
By Check: A one-time gift by check payable to Lake Whitney Ranch and mailed to Texas Conference, PO Box 800, Alvarado, TX 76009.
Online: A one-time or recurring gift at AdventistGiving.org under “$25 in 25” in your conference giving area or search for it in the Texas Conference of SDA Church.
By Text: Text LWR25in25 to 41444 for the online giving page to submit a one-time or recurring gift.
Each month, you can view reels and videos highlighting areas of LWR on our social channels, the Lake Whitney Ranch Facebook page or on TexasAdventist.org/25-in-25.
Together As One, let’s work together to create a beautiful ranch that can be enjoyed for generations to come.
