The Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists’ Executive Committee promoted Jannet Diaz to Director for Print Shop & Mailing effective Nov. 1, 2024, during its Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, meetings.
“Having worked or been connected to that department since 2017, Diaz is a great person for this position, and we are glad for the opportunity to promote within as we restructure several departments in the Texas Conference,” Elton DeMoraes, Texas Conference president shared.
Even though Diaz transitioned to the Communication & Public Relations department about two years ago to help with graphic design, live streaming events and studio recordings, she continued to assist with printing and mailing projects as the expert in that area.
“Jannet brings a wealth of experience in serving our churches and will continue to work with conference departments and ministries, local church leaders and other Seventh-day Adventist institutions to provide services for its printing and mailing needs,” DeMoraes added.
Diaz graduated from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas, with a degree in communication (2015). She is active in her local church, serving in directorial roles for club ministries and communication and assisting with church media ministries.
Before joining the Texas Conference, Diaz worked as a production assistant at KNWA/FOX 24 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The president reported that this change is budget-neutral for staffing numbers and part of a conference realignment to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
