Pastors carry a lot. Sermons, hospital visits, board meetings, marriage counseling, a family of their own, often across more than one church at a time. Our job is to make sure they don’t carry it alone.
We work alongside conference leadership and local congregations to identify, train, support, and keep good pastors in Texas, and to help the elders, deacons, and deaconesses standing beside them do the same. That means real training, real mentoring, and real conversations about what’s actually going on in a pastor’s life and ministry, not just another program to check off.
We build that around seven things every healthy pastor needs to grow in: Character, Evangelism, Leadership, Worship, Management, Scholarship, and Relationships. Not as a checklist, but as the core of what it takes to be a healthy pastor, and a healthy person.
Local church leaders matter just as much. As more gets asked of elders, deacons, and deaconesses every year, we want them walking into that work equipped, not just willing.
At the end of the day, this is simple: healthy pastors build healthy churches. If we can help a pastor stay spiritually alive, well-supported, and good at what they do, that ripples out into every congregation they lead.
Together As One. That’s not a slogan for us. It’s how we actually try to work.
