DESCRIPTION:Texas Vision\nBirthdays are a big thing in our family. We never pass up a chance to celebrate God’s blessing of another year of life for someone in our home. When we come together around food and laughter to celebrate one of our family members, it feels as though it binds me even closer to my spouse and children. Birthdays are just one type of celebration that bonds me closer to the ones I love. We celebrate holidays, when we get promotions at work, and when people get married, just to name a few.\nCelebrations come in all sizes, and for a variety of reasons. God’s word says, “Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy” (Psalm 47:1, NIV). When was the last time you celebrated what God is doing in your life, or the life of your church family members? When was the last time that you celebrated another person giving their life to God?\nThe Texas Vision offering benefits three areas within the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists: worthy student funding for our academies (25%), Lake Whitney Ranch development (50%) and church or school building appropriations (25%).\nWe are told that all of Heaven throws a party when just one sinner repents and turns toward God! Today, as we prepare to return our tithes and offerings, consider praying for God to plant in your heart the desire to see how you can partner with the mission of our church to win souls for Christ.\nBy Heather Thompson Day\nVisión de Texas\nLos cumpleaños son algo muy importante en nuestra familia.
